Calling All Super Sleuths!

A huge part of the reason we love finding treasure is the stories that we come across with each item. There are stories that we hear when a particular piece evokes a memory or nostalgia. We also research items to find out about how, when, where or why they were made but even with the world of Google at our fingertips, sometimes we have trouble finding information on particular pieces. So we thought we’d put the mysteries out to the world in the hope that someone might have some knowledge they are willing to share.

So if you have any information or can point us in the right direction with any of our mystery pieces, please get in touch either in the comments, social media or email. Ok super sleuths, it’s over to you!

Pop Up Shop Tumbarumba during Tumbafest!

Saturday 24 February we’ll be popping up in Tumbarumba with loads of treasures! We’ll have clothing, vintage vinyl, books, homewares and collectables at our pop up location at 40 The Parade, Tumbarumba in the historic Kosciuskzo Building.

We will be open from 10am-5pm on Saturday and a lot of our treasures aren’t on our website yet so make you you swing by if you’re heading to Tumbafest.

Artist Nat Ord will be joining us with a pop up of some of her hand-carved wooden spoons, wood serving boards and photography and will be carving spoons throughout the day!

Mystery Piece #1

Ok here’s the first mystery piece! A set of two vintage hobnail amber glass lamps.

I know they don’t look that mysterious but we are having trouble finding any good info on them.

Here’s what we know:

  • There’s a sticker below the bulb ( see photo) that says ‘Wolfe Lamp Corp.’
  • N1155/TL403
  • 100W max lamp.
  • 27cm high

Google hasn’t helped with a search on this info. We’ve also done a Google image search which got a few close lamps but not quite a match.

They are both in working order and I love the amber of the glass. Do you have any info on the Wolf Lamp Corp? Or other similar lamps? And of course, if they spark nostalgia for you, we’d love to hear about that too!
